Shelly Whittaker, 4th Grade Teacher

     Welcome to my page parents and students! It is my hope that you'll learn a little about me here, and/or find a way to reach out to me if you have questions, comments, or concerns. 

     Getting to know my students is the best part of teaching! I have taught at Northeast Elementary, the best school with the best students, since 2004. In all of those years I have been very fortunate to meet a lot of wonderful kids! I was initially a 3rd grade teacher for twelve years, then moved to fourth grade in 2016. I earned my Bachelor's degree in elementary education from UNK, and a Master's degree in curriculum and instruction from Doane College.

     I have a husband of 37 years, three grown children, and one black cat and I love them all dearly! I enjoy shopping, baking, refinishing furniture, and decorating our home in my free time.
